| Harold Tucker Webster, known to the public as H.T. and to friends as
Webby, was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia in 1885. His family
moved to Tomahawk, Wisconsin while he was still a young boy, and,
though not a distinguished student, Webster was a hard worker and
worked various small jobs after school. He was known to have made
countless sketches of those around him, and at the age of 17, he moved
to Chicago where he enrolled in Frank Holmes’ School of
