Born in the village of Ixtlahuaca, in the state of Mexico, Emilio Amero counts Spaniards and Otomi Indians among his ancestors. Shortly after his birth, the family moved to Mexico City, where Emilio attended grammar school, and in 1911, began his studies in art at the Academy of San Carlos. He also studied drawing privately with Antonio Gomez, a family friend and (showing 500 of 2998 characters). |
