Rudy Pozzatti (born 1925)
Rudy Pozzatti was born in Telluride, Colorado in 1925. Pozzatti was graduated from the University of Colorado in 1948 and received his Masters of Fine Arts there in 1950. Following a graduate assistant teaching fellowship at the University of Colorado he became instructor in painting, graphic arts, and design at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, and in 1954 was promoted to assistant professor.
He has had six one-man exhibitions and has participated in over forty others. His work is represented in some thirty public collections.
Of the numerous awards he has received the most important was a Fullbright Grant for one year's study in Italy where he was affiliated with Istituto d'Arte in Florence in 1952 and 1953.

Born Telluride, Colorado, January 14, 1925. Studied at the University of Colorado, receiving a BFA in 1948 and MFA in 1950. Spent three years in the army, Sgt. FA and sixteen months overseas. While at the University of Colorado, studied under Emilio Amero, Max Beckman and Ben Shahn. While completing his MA, he was graduate assistant in Freshman Drawing, teaching Freshman Drawing. For two years 1950-1952 he was instructor in painting and graphic arts at the University of Nebraska. During summer term 1951, he was visiting prof. at the University of Colorado and taught Drawing and Life Drawing.
1952-1953 he received a Fulbright Grant for one year's study in Italy (affiliated with Institute d'Arte, Florence, Italy). 1953-1954, he returned to teach graphic arts & design at the University of Nebraska.
