Biography from Crocker Art Museum Store:

Portrait painter, muralist, etcher. Born on June 6, 1877 in Philadelphia, PA. Crawford studied at the PAFA and in Paris with Whistler. With the signs of war, he returned to the U.S. in the late 1930s and moved to Pasadena with his wife Brenetta. He was active there until his death on Sept. 13, 1966.

Member: Paris American AA; Society of Illustrators.

Collection: U.S. Court House (SF); NY Public Library; Rijks Museum (Amsterdam); Manchester (England) Gallery; Christchurch Museum (New Zealand). WWAA 1936-41; DR.
