| Born in New York City, Harry Sternberg was a painter, muralist, lithographer and educator. During the Depression he was a WPA artist, and his murals are in post offices in Chicago, Chester and Sellersville, Pennsylvania. From 1934 to 1968, he taught painting and graphics at the Art Students League in New York, from 1942 to 1945 graphics at the New School of Social Research, and from 1959 to 1969 was head of the Art Department in the Idylwild School of Music and Art at the University of Southern (showing 500 of 734 characters). |
