Vincent A. Svoboda (1877-1961)
Born in Czechoslovakia, Vincent A. Svoboda came to this country as a boy. He received three prizes when he graduated from the National Academy of Design. Later he studied in Prague, Czechoslovakia, and in Paris, where he worked with Mucha, the Czechoslovak poster artist.
In 1925 and 1937 Svoboda won Salmagundi Club awards. He belonged also to the Allied Artists of America and the Cartoonists Club. Initiall (showing 500 of 1103 characters). |
