German born, Richard Ernesti had a painting and teaching career in
Colorado and Washington state. He did paintings of Indians and
mountains and served as Director of Art Education for the Colorado
schools. He also was a teacher at Colorado State College,
Pennsylvania State College and Drake University in Des Moines.
He was married to painter Ethel Ernesti. In Colorado, his paintings of the Rocky Mountains were popular with tourists. Apparently he also trave (showing 500 of 2456 characters). |
