| | Born in Henry, IL on June 18, 1892. Hilda Mutton studied at UCLA (1916) and married Jerome Van Zandt in 1922. After settling in San Pedro, she taught at Fremont High School in Los Angeles. She traveled widely and obtained much of her subject matter from exotic places in South America, Africa, and Spain. Mrs. Van Zandt died in Long Beach, CA on July 31, 1965. Exh: SFAA, 1916; Calif.
