| Born in Salt Lake City, Robert Hudson grew up in Richland, Washington. He attended the California School of Fine Arts in 1957 (now the San Francisco Art Institute) and received his M.F.A. in 1963. In the 1970's Hudson turned to rustic constructions similar to those of William Wiley, although they often contained a more Baroque profusion of objects--beer cans, a fishing basket, a stuffed and painted deer--and their surfaces were more brightly colored. He also returned frequently to painting, gene (showing 500 of 1408 characters). |
