Cosmas Wolf was a monk of St. Vincent Archabbey, Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The Necrology of the American-Cassinese Congregation [Necrologium Congregationis Americano-Cassinensis O.S.B., 1846-1946 (Collegeville, Minn, 1948] gives the following biographical information: "FC [=Frater Conversus, i.e. he was a brother, not a priest] Cosmas (Joannes) Wolf [his religious name was Cosmas, his baptismal name was Joannes (in Latin)] Nat in Grosskissendorf, Bavaria, 24 Jun 1822, pf [i.e. he professed (showing 500 of 708 characters). |
