A painter, etcher, and decorator, Gabrielle Clements was born in Philadelphia and studied in Paris with Robert-Fleury and Bouguereau. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the Chicago Society of Etchers, and the North Shore Arts Association in Gloucester from 1923 to 1948.
