| Born in Millbury, MA in 1813. Dunnel exhibited at the NAD in 1847-48 and then joined the Gold Rush to California in 1849. He was in business in Colma when California became a state and served as Colma's first justice of the peace. In 1851 he returned to New York, but came to California again in 1857 for a three year period as a representative of the Singer’s Sewing Machines.
