Biography from Crocker Art Museum Store:
Painter, writer. Born in Oslo, Norway on Oct. 23, 1874. Anderson studied at AIC and with Wm M. Chase before settling in southern California in 1910. Primarily a portrait painter, she had an art school in Hollywood and exhibited at various Los Angeles galleries until her death on Sept. 4, 1960.

Member: San Diego FA Society; Calif. Art Club; LAAA; Beverly Hills AA (founder-pres.). Exh: Chicago Art Guild, 1918 (prize); Oakland Art Gallery, 1931; LACMA, 1937 (medal). In: Hollywood Women's Club; Elks Club (LA). AAA 1915-33; WWAA 1936-62; Ben; FId; SCA; AAW; LA Times, 9-7-1960 (obit).
