Born in London, England, he became a US citizen. He studied at the Art Center in Los Angeles and with James Couper Wright. In 1956, he completed a mural commission for the California Institute of Technology Biology Building in Pasadena. He became a resident of Sedona, Arizona and did many paintings of the Navajo and Hopi Indians.
