Karl Augustus Weidenbach
Karl Augustus Weidenbach was born on the 25th of May, 1825, in Naumburg an der Saale, 50 km southwest of Leipzig, Germany. His artist father, Friedrich Augustus was also a painter as well as drawing master at the Dom Gymnasium at Naumburg. Four of the family were artists. Karl Augustus’ elder brothers, Ernst and Maximilian, achieved fame for their painstakingly (showing 500 of 2223 characters). |
