Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, Kathleen Greatorex became a noted painter
of floral still lifes and decorative works. Her professional
accomplishments were recognized by membership in the National Academy
of Design.
She was raised and instructed in art by
her mother, Eliza Pratt Greatorex. She and her sister, Eleanor,
traveled and painted in Europe. They spent many years in Paris where
she was a student of Carolus Duran.
From 1879 to 1894, she exhibite (showing 500 of 1040 characters). |
