| | Born in Postville, IA on Sept. 23, 1874. Lena Lova Jones grew up in Brandon, SD. After her studies at the AIC, she taught in Long Beach, CA (1913-15) and All Saints School in Sioux Falls, SD before settling on the family ranch in Brandon in 1918. She died there on May 30, 1951. Her work includes scenes from South Dakota farm life and of Laguna Beach, Julian, and other California spots. Exh: AIC, 1913; Brookings (SD) Art Center, 1974.
