Jacques Reich, portrait etcher, was born in Hungary, August 10,
1852. He first studied art in Budapest. In 1873 he came to
the United States and continued his studies at the National Academy of
Design in New York and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in
Philadelphia. In 1879 he went to Paris to study for a year under
the noted painters William Adolphe Bouguereau and Joseph Nicolas
Robert-Fleury.
In 1880 he returned to Philadelphia, and in 1885
moved to New Yor (showing 500 of 1623 characters). |
