| Evelyn Bailey was born in Seattle, WA on Sept. 27, 1912. At age six Bailey settled in Oakland, CA with her family. After art studies at the CCAC and UC Berkeley (M.A.), she married Frank Brezee in 1939. For one year she taught art at Ripon (CA) High School and from 1940-77 at El Cerrito (CA) High School as well as Saturday classes at the CCAC (1945-55). After retiring from teaching in 1977, she lived in Walnut Creek, CA until her demise on May 26, 1998.
