| Victor H. Basinet was born in Providence, RI on March 14, 1889. Basinet was a pupil of Hugo Bruel, Jean Goucher, Antonio Cremonini, Angelo Carducci, and David Siqueiros.
He lived in both Monterey and Los Angeles during the late 1930s. He died in the latter on Oct. 9, 1956.
