Helaine Dorothy Blum (b. 1909-d. 2010)
A sculptor, she was born on July 13, 1909 in Cleveland, Ohio and died on January 15, 2010 in Santa Monica, California.
Education: Cleveland Art Institute; Western Reserve University; Arts Students League, New York.
Well-known American sculptor and painter William Zorach first discovered Helaine. He along with another great American artist, Max Weber, became her friend, mentor and colleague. New York's Galerie St. Etienne, (showing 500 of 1627 characters). |
