| | Born in Los Gatos, CA on May 3, 1894. Broz was educated at the University of Washington and studied art at the CSFA. During 1929-30 she studied painting with Andre Lhote in Paris and Hans Hofmann in Munich. She had further study with Archipenko and Feininger at Mills College in Oakland. For thirty years she taught in the public schools of San Francisco. Upon retirement in 1942, she lived on the Monterey Peninsula until 1955, and then in Redlands and Sun City. Broz died in San Jose, CA on May 20, 1986. A modernist, her work includes abstract oils and small sculptured pigeons.
