Nathan Dolinsky, a painter of landscapes, portraits and still-lifes born in Russia in 1890, was the youngest artist, at age twenty-three years, to exhibit in the 1913 Armory Show. He was also one of the youngest students ever to study at the National Academy of Design, in New York City.
At the Armory Show, Dolinsky exhibited in Gallery M with other American painters including Edward Hopper, John Sloan and Leon Kroll. His entry, "The Sightless," oil, 33 x 48, was painted the year the exhib (showing 500 of 1554 characters). |
