| | Born in Vienna, Austria on March 26, 1846. Eisenschimel immigrated to the U.S. in 1867 and settled in San Francisco in 1872. During the 1880s he was active in the local art scene. He maintained a home and studio at 304 Waller Street until his death on May 14, 1932. He was one of the foremost handwriting experts in the U.S. and worked as such for the Oakland and San Francisco police departments. Exh: Mechanics' Inst. (SF), 1875-86; SFAA, 1882; Calif.
