Gaylord Flory (1919-1982)
A painter of landscapes, still lives, figures and portraits, he also drew hundreds of sketches and caricatures. Flory painted in watercolor, casein, acrylic, and oil.
Born in Michigan, Gaylord Flory began his career as a painter at the age of twenty, when he enrolled in the Meinzinger Art School in Detroit. His studies were interrupted by World War II, during which he saw action in New Guinea. When not consumed by his responsibilities as a fiel (showing 500 of 1926 characters). |
