| Born in California on Jan. 24, 1893. Lockwood served in the camouflage corps in France during WWI and then studied at the AIC. He then returned to Los Angeles where he worked as an architectural draftsman for the firm of Myron Hunt and as an artist for the movie studios. By 1931 he was in San Francisco where his model, who was in love with him, tried to take his life. Lockwood was en route to his home in rural El Monte when killed in an auto accident near Pomona, CA on Jan. 24, 1949. Exh: (showing 500 of 756 characters). |
