| Born in Oregon on Dec. 20, 1905. Early in his career Nesbitt worked in the Disney Studios in Los Angeles; however, by 1932 he was a resident of San Francisco. His marriage to Lady Mary Faith Montagu in 1938 ended in divorce in 1940. His last years were spent on the Monterey Peninsula as a resident of Pacific Grove. Nesbitt died at the Monterey County Hospital on June 9, 1953. Primarily a watercolorist, he derived his subject matter from Haiti (1929), Hawaii (1930), (showing 500 of 748 characters). |
