| Born in Sacramento, CA on Jan. 1, 1861, daughter of James McClatchy, founder of the Sacramento Bee. Fanny graduated from Notre Dame Convent in San Jose and then married Robert Richardson. She made a lifetime study of wildflowers which she depicted in watercolor. A lifelong resident of Sacramento, she died there on Feb. 2, 1948. Exh: Calif.
