| Earl Warford Rowland was born in Trinidad, CO in September 1890. Rowland studied at the Art Institute of Chicago (1910) under Dudley Crafts Watson and at the School of Industrial Art in Los Angeles. After serving in the Army in World War One he returned to Los Angeles and became active in the local art scene. A trip to Hawaii in the late 1920s resulted in several tropical landscapes and harbor scenes with sampans. During the 1930s he settled in Stockton, CA where he was a (showing 500 of 1390 characters). |
