Stephen Searles studied at the Art Students League and the Grand Central School of Art and at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Fontainebleau, France. While serving in the Army during World War II, taught at Biarritz American University in France. Former instructor at the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art, New Jersey. Made the statue of Our Lady of Good Voyage which overlooks Gloucester harbor on Rocky Neck. Has made portrait busts of many artists and writers. (showing 500 of 1003 characters). |
