| Elvera Catherine Hustead was born in Omaha, NE on Aug. 9, 1890. Hustead studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and Los Angeles Art Institute. She was the author of Colorology in 1929 and wrote articles for magazines. By 1937 she was a resident of San Francisco. At the time of her death in Los Angeles on Feb. 5, 1949, she was the wife of James Simons and a beauty salon owner.
Member: National Sculpture Society.
