Born in Washington, DC on November 15, 1912. Wylie moved to southern California in the 1920s. At age 17 she was active in the San Diego art scene. After graduation from San Diego High School, she studied at the University of Southern California and the Art Center School in Los Angeles.
After her marriage to Lloyd Stirrett in 1935, she signed her paintings Wylie Stirrett. She taught in Los Angeles at Hammond Hall (1941) and for six years she worked at D (showing 500 of 1041 characters). |
