This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Ida Maria Working Podchernikoff was born in Belle Plaine, MN on April 20, 1868. Ida married artist Alexis M. Podchernikoff in 1901. Her husband was 18 years her junior. After moving to San Francisco in 1903, the couple appears to have divorced a few years later. An oil painter, she made faithful copies of religious genre, floral still lifes, and at least two of Grace Hudson's Little Mendocino. Many of her rare paintings are unsigned and in some she spelled her first name Aida. Mrs. Podchernikoff died in San Francisco on Feb. 21, 1944.
