San Francisco Panama-Pacific Exhibition 1915
This biography from the Archives of AskART:
A teacher and well-known portrait painter, Lazar Raditz did portraits of prominent persons such as members of the Rockefeller and DuPont families, Madame Chiang-Kai-Shek, and many philanthropists, doctors and judges.  He was an art teacher at the Philadelphia Sketch Club*, and the Salmagundi Club*.  His daughter Violetta C. Raditz was also an artist. 

Raditz lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for many years and also had residences in New York City; Bristol, Rhode Island; and Spartanburg, South Carolina.

His art training included the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts*, with William Merritt Chase, 1904-10; and Edmund Tarbell.

He was a member of the Philadelphia chapter of Allied Artists of America.*

The Art Club of Philadelphia, 1913 (solo); Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts annual, frequently, 1908-45; Pan-Pacific Exposition*, San Francisco, 1915 (medal); National Academy of Design*, 1918 (prize); Art Institute of Chicago*, 1925;  Society of Independent Artists*, 1942; Ogunquit, Maine Art Center, 1947-48.

Collections:
Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts; American Philosophical Society.; University of Pennsylvania; Baugh Institute Anatomy; Academy National School; Franklin Institute; College Physicians; Temple University; Free Library; Germantown Friends School; Graphic Philadelphia Sketch Club, Mercantile Library, Philadelphia; Brown University; Yale University; State Capitol, Harrisburg; convent, Cornwalls Heights, Pennsylvania ; Rollins College; Florida ; Wesleyan College.

Raditz's collection was given to Greenville Museum Art (S. Carolina) by his widow. The National Portrait Gallery has hundreds of photos of Raditz's portraits, plus his appointment and account books.
