Jesse Carl Hobby (1871-1938)
Jesse Carl Hobby was born May 11, 1871 in Cooperstown, New York. He began his studies with Ed Grafton, New York; plus attendance at the H.B. Howley Art School, New York; with Mart S. Hazelton, Omaha; plus with Alfred Juergens in Chicago and Oak Park, Illinois.
He was a member of the All-Illinois Society of the Fine Arts; Austin, Oak Park and River Forest Art League; and the United Scenic Painters of the U.S.
