May Spear Clinedinst was a teacher and painter of landscapes, still lifes, ship portraits, harbors, and fishermen. She was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1887 and died in St. Petersburg, FL in 1960. Clinedinst was living in Brooklyn in 1947 and in St. Petersburg in 1959. Many of the artists she studied with lived and worked in the New England area, especially around Cape Ann where she produced masterful painti (showing 500 of 2599 characters). |
