Best known as a print maker and teacher who lived in Hawaii during the 1920s and 1930s, Huc-Mazelet Luquiens was also the author, in 1928, of Copper Plate Printing, a pamphlet that was the Honolulu Academy of Arts first publication.
Luquiens was a member of the faculty of the University of Hawaii, where, in the 1925-26 school year, art instruction was offered for the first time. He later was named the head of the art department, and was largely responsible for attracting qualified instru (showing 500 of 2221 characters). |
