This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| A little known artist, whose reputation was solely for his etchings, he is the author of a book titled "The Etching of Landscapes" published in 1914. He studied in Paris with James Whistler and lived in New York in the early 20th century. In 1906, he was doing etchings at Cos Cob and was the first printmaker in that colony, although Kerr Eby and Childe Hassam later became involved in the medium there. |
