| Walter Karl Pleuthner was a designer, painter, and lecturer. He spent time in New York City and Scarsdale, New York. He studied at the Art Student's League, and the National Academy of Design, and under DuMond and Mora.
Pleuthner was a member of the Scarsdale Art Association, American Institute of Architects, Architectural League of New York, and the Westchester Society Architecture. He exhibited at the Armory Show of 1913; the Society Independent Artists, 1917; and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, 1923.
As a lecturer he presented topics on inter-relationship of design.
