Ron Holyfield's paintings are intended to exhibit a sense of presence and reality created from a deep love of his subjects, birds and animals.
Although Holyfield demonstrated artistic talent as a child, the creative catalyst for his painting career was a painting he received for Christmas one year. He began taking lessons and studied with John R. Taylor of Suffolk, Virginia and watercolorist Edgar A. Whitney.
