Ron Holyfield's paintings are intended to exhibit a sense of presence and reality created from a deep love of his subjects, birds and animals.
Although Holyfield demonstrated artistic talent as a child, the creative catalyst for his painting career was a painting he received for Christmas one year. He began taking lessons and studied with John R. Taylor of Suffolk, Virginia and watercolorist Edgar A. Whitney. In 1982, after ten years of studying and painting seriously, Holyfield made (showing 500 of 1844 characters). |
