"While researching this artist I located a short biography of Berstein attached to a painting in the Baltimore Museum of Art collection. The description reads as follows":

A native of Lithuania, Bernstein arrived penniless in the United States at the age of sixteen. He began to paint while employed as a clerk in a general store in (showing 500 of 4802 characters). |
