Andrea de Zerega was born in De Zerega, in the province of Genova, Italy in 1916. In 1932 he and his mother, Maria Aurora Bacigalupo, moved to Washington DC where they reunited with his father, Natale Agostino, and two older brothers, Domenico and Jimmy.
In Washington de Zerega attended the Americanization School and Central High School. He later attended the Corcoran School of Art from 1935-1939. In 1939 he was awarded a scholarship from the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation o (showing 500 of 1693 characters). |
