Following is text on the back of a Donald Greason drawing. Submitted by James Gagen.
" For Bud and Mary Ellen - This is an original drawing by Donald Greason (1897-1981). Greason studied with the Arts Student League, and was a studio mate of Alexander Calder in Paris. Director of the Artist's Gallery in New York City, he helped launch artists like Thomas Hart Benton.
For many years he was artist- in - residence at Deerfield Academy in Mass (showing 500 of 1042 characters). |
