| Born in Jacksboro, Texas, she was raised on a ranch. She received her Master's Degree of Art from Texas Women's Unviersity in Denton, Texas, graduating in 1985. Then she taught art and history in the public schools. She has attended workshops taught by Kevin Macperhson, Ray Vinella, Dan Gerhartz and Thomas Buechner. She is a plein aire landscape painter and also a figure painter, using only live models, not photographs. In 1996, she was voted Best of Show at the Southwest Regional Oil Painters o (showing 500 of 1600 characters). |
