The following was submitted by the artist's niece, Jean Nachorny Ledford: John Nachorny was born July 1, l908 in Poland. He was the youngest of 4 children. He had 2 sisters, Anna and Marie and 1 brother named Stefan. Stefan was my father, and of course, John was my uncle. The parents and all 4 children emmigrated to the U.S. from Poland aboard the S.S. Maine and arrived in Baltimore, Maryland - at the time, John was 5 years old. The family lived in Cleve (showing 500 of 774 characters). |
