Biography from ArtSanDiego:
| James Dalton was born in Clinton, Missouri in 1922. Known for his
watercolor, and egg tempera landscape renderings, he studied at the
Memphis Academy of Arts, and earned his BFA at the Kansas City Art
Institute.
Dalton exhibited his works at the Midwest Art Association, Kansas State
College, Kansas City Art Institute, and was a 1st prize Purchase Award
winner at the Art Institute of Chicago.
In the late 1950’s he settled on the Monterey Peninsula where he painted and exhibited widely.
