| | Born in England on April 3, 1889. About 1910 Ledington arrived in the United States. He taught music at colleges in Ohio, West Virginia, Minnesota, and Nebraska. By the 1940s he had settled in San Diego, California and was active in the local art scene until his death on May 6, 1974. He was a close friend and pupil of Dong Kingman whose influence is evident in his works.
