This biography from the Archives of AskART:

Born to Russian immigrant parents, Anthony Dobovsky grew up in San Diego, and at age 16 left home to study in Buenos Aires and in Europe including Russia. Much of his painting has exile themes including a series done on cardboard.

Dobovsky is a teacher at UC Berkeley.
