Born in San Francisco, California on June 26, 1887, Elizabeth Dahl studied locally at the Institute of Art from 1906, and won a prize for her sculpture there in 1911.

She continued her art studies at the Art Students League in New York City.

Unmarried and lifelong resident of San Francisco, she died on Dec. 3, 1932.
