| | Born on a farm near Clarksburg, WV on Nov. 19, 1885. Shirley Blanche attended college in Greeley, CO and was married there. She had moved to Los Angeles by 1932 and for 40 years taught in the public schools there. She died in Los Angeles on Nov. 24, 1982. As well as teaching, she also painted china and made jewelry. | Source:
